This box was a departure from the previous in that it was very plain and is called the Straw Box, designated Type I.
It was more graphical in design than previous and showed a picture and description on the rear.

These boxes have a transparent back wall, leaving only the side flaps, the bottom of the box and the newly introduced element, the "ear", created by pulling the back wall up. The box was glued at this point, but the glue used doesn't hold up very well, so these boxes are often at least partially unstuck.

There are a total of four variants for the I boxes:
Variant (a) - On the side flap, the model code and the model name is below the line, the text is printed in an arc under the window at the back, it has a cross in a circle on the inner flap, it has a shiny gold insert.
Variant (b) - On the side flap, the model code is removed from the model name and placed in a larger font separately above the line, the text is printed in an arc under the window at the back, it has a cross in a circle on the inner flap.
Variant (c) - On the side flap, the model code is removed from the model name and placed in a larger font separately above the line, the text is completely different, shorter and horizontal, it has a cross in a circle on the inner flap, it has a shiny gold insert.
Variant (d) - identical to variant (c), only on the inner flaps the cross in a circle is not printed as with the previous three variants. They no longer had a line drawing of the model at the top left on the rear of the boxes (from model code Y20 onwards), shiny gold or matte green-gold insert.

All models up to the number Y25 had the variant (d). The exact boundaries of the transitions between the individual variants are not yet known. Variants (a) and (b) probably no longer exist from number Y19.
